The iPhone X Is Available For Preorder
If you’re reading this, you’re likely too late. Preorders are now live for Apple’s iPhone X, following the announcement of the new smartphone back in September at Apple’s annual iPhone event.
In case you need a reminder, the iPhone X comes in either silver (i.e., white) or space grey (i.e., black). Apple is selling two models — one with 64GB of storage that costs $999, and a 256GB model for $1,149. The biggest new features on the device are a new bezel-less design with a 5.8-inch OLED display, along with a new Face ID system that uses facial recognition for unlocking your phone. Other improvements like the A11 Fusion processor and the addition of wireless charging that were introduced with the iPhone 8 will also appear on the X.
Demand for this phone is expected to be extremely high, and it will likely sell out in seconds. Fear not however, as you will probably be able to buy it at inflated prices from resellers.
Microsoft Hit A Milestone In Its Cloud Business
Microsoft is now able to project over $20 billion in annual revenue. While that may seem like a big but arbitrary milestone, it’s an important one for Microsoft. In 2015, a year after being named the company’s CEO, Satya Nadella said he wanted Microsoft to hit that target sometime in 2018 — a big jump up from the $6.3 billion business it was back then. Depending on how you’re counting (Microsoft’s 2018 fiscal year started in July), Nadella delivered right on time or slightly ahead of schedule this week.
